## In this lesson

### Choose a film (0:08)

We want a story and voice. Press Control-O, then Control-N. Press Control-T to choose A film, narrated with music. A director and crew will build its shots.

### Give a topic (0:22)

A topic is all it needs. Type: why are flamingos pink? A film takes a while to make, so we'll leave this unsent, and open one we made earlier.

### Read the process (0:33)

Click the finished flamingo thread. Earlier in the conversation, we can see how the director planned it. It wrote the story and voiced it, then drew a cast: a flamingo, a fluffy grey chick, and a shrimp, with one shared lagoon. That gives every shot a common look.

### Shots to cut (0:50)

Then a crew built six shots at once, landing things on the words, while the director reviewed each one. The cut puts the pictures, voice, music and sounds together.

### Watch the film (1:01)

Let's see what that work made. Press Page Down to return to the cut, then point at the Film card. It plays right here, and the director lists what each of its six shots shows.

### Why Flamingos Are Pink (1:13)

Here's the whole film, just as the director made it, with its own voice and music.
