## In this lesson

### Watch the turn (0:10)

Let's see where this bar turns. Press zero, then space. Its middle stays still as both ends move. Press space to pause.

### Find the point (0:21)

Let's find what holds the middle still. Press zero, then click the bar. The small cross is its anchor point, the centre for turning and scaling.

### Move the point (0:32)

The bar needs a hinge at one end. Drag the cross to the left end. The bar stays put at this frame. We've changed where it turns, without moving the drawing.

### A hinge now (0:43)

Let's try that hinge. Press zero, then space. There it is. The left end stays still. The same turn makes a different movement. Press space to pause.

### Centre it again (0:56)

Let's bring back a balanced turn. Press zero. Double-click the cross at the left end. It returns to the middle. The bar stays put, ready to turn about its centre again.

### Choose the hinge (1:08)

Let's check our balanced turn. Press zero, then space. Both ends move again. Press space to pause. Put the anchor where the layer should turn.
