# Make a layer move between two poses

Give a still layer a start and an end position, with a move between them.

Start with a local document containing a shape and at least two seconds of time.

1. Click the shape on the stage. Its values appear in the rail (the Properties panel in After Effects or Figma).
2. Press `0`. The playhead returns to the first frame.
3. Press `p`. **Position** gets a key in the score (the timeline).
4. Click one second on the score's ruler. The playhead moves there; the shape stays still.
5. Drag the shape to its end position. A second **Position** key appears at one second.
6. Press `0`. The shape returns to its first pose.
7. Press `space`. The shape moves between the poses.
8. Press `space` again. Playback pauses.
