# Draw a rounded card

Draw a rectangle and round its corners without changing its size.

Start with a local document open and empty space on the stage.

1. Press `⇧R` to choose **Rectangle**. The pointer becomes a crosshair.
2. Drag a box on the stage. Releasing adds a selected rectangle with corner dots inside it.
3. Drag one of the round dots towards the centre. All four corners round together; **Corners**
changes in the rail (the Properties panel in After Effects or Figma).
4. Click the **Corners** number, type `24` and press `enter`. The radius becomes 24 pixels.
5. Press `w` to save. A new document asks for a filename.

Next, use `⌥` while dragging a corner dot to change one corner alone. See
[Shapes and drawing tools](https://terminal.lottiefiles.com/docs/layers/drawing.md#corners) for the separate radius controls.
