# Slow a move without changing its route

Give a move more time by moving its ending key later.

Start with a layer whose **Position** has two keys.

1. Click **Position** in the score (the timeline). Its keys become available to edit.
2. Drag the second diamond right along its row to a later ruler time. The speed band stretches between the keys.
3. Press `0`. The playhead returns to the start.
4. Press `space`. The layer follows the same route over the longer interval.
5. Press `space` again. Playback pauses.

Next: [shape the ease](https://terminal.lottiefiles.com/docs/animating.md#the-ease-box) to change the speed within that time.
