## In this lesson

### Open a terminal (0:07)

Creator Terminal runs in a terminal, the app where you type commands. On a Mac, open Terminal, or Ghostty if you have it. On Windows, open PowerShell.

### Type the line (0:19)

Now type the install line from our website, or copy it from there and paste it. Then press Return.

### It installs (0:26)

It downloads the newest release, checks that it's really ours, and installs it. Then it opens Creator Terminal, right here.

### Home (0:35)

This is home. From here, start a new document, try Zen, or open an example to learn from.

### Up to date (0:43)

And it keeps itself up to date. Click the version, and you'll see what's new in every release.

### Back in the terminal (0:49)

Press escape to close it, and Q to quit. We're back in the terminal, where the install says what it put where.

### Spotlight and your apps (0:57)

Next time, open it from Spotlight, or your Applications folder. It opens in Ghostty, or in a window of its own.

### Any terminal (1:05)

Or run it in any terminal you like. Ghostty, kitty and WezTerm show its stage as a sharp picture. Others draw it in characters.

### Your AI apps (1:14)

And it works with your AI. Its copilot uses Claude Code or Codex, signed in as you, and they can use Creator Terminal, too.
