## In this lesson

### Make the emitter (0:08)

Let's use this dot as our particle. As in lesson five point one, click the dot. In the palette, press colon, type Make particles, then press Enter to make its emitter.

### Set the rate (0:21)

Let's set a steady flow. In the rail, click more to reveal Emit. Stream releases particles one after another. Click Rate, type twenty-four, then press Enter. That's twenty-four new particles each second.

### Watch the flow (0:37)

Let's watch that steady flow. Press zero, then space. Watch briefly, then pause. The dots arrive continuously, filling the gaps as older ones drift away.

### Change to burst (0:49)

Let's release a group together. Back in the rail, click burst. Click Count, type twenty-four, then press Enter. Every is zero, so it happens just once.

### Watch one group (1:02)

Let's compare a single burst. Press zero, then space, and pause. All twenty-four dots start together and spread apart. No new dots follow them.

### Repeat the burst (1:14)

Let's repeat the group each second. In the rail, click Every, type one, then press Enter. Now watch the stage. Press zero, then space. Watch for a second group, then pause. It follows the first.
