## In this lesson

### One open path (0:07)

This blue curve is one open path, with a stroke and no fill. Click the line to select it. For now, the whole stroke is visible.

### Draw it on (0:18)

We'll reveal the stroke gradually. Find Trim paths in the rail, and click draw on. Creator Terminal animates a value called End for us.

### Read the values (0:29)

Start and End mark how much of the stroke we see. At the first frame, End is zero percent, so none of the line has been drawn yet.

### Watch it draw (0:39)

Let's watch that reveal. Press zero, then space. The line grows from its first point to its last. End moves towards a hundred percent. Press space again to stop.

### Halfway (0:52)

Let's check the reveal halfway through. Click halfway along the ruler to pause at one and a half seconds. About half the curve has been drawn.

### Halfway through (1:01)

Look at End in the rail. It's just over fifty percent. Start stays at zero, keeping the beginning of our line in place.
